Mamie Foundation is established in loving memory of Mamie Kamara (1963-1991), a young and industrious woman whose ambition and support for just and equitable society helped women and young people realised their potential in her community in Sierra Leone.

We are committed to extending Mamie’s work to all vulnerable children, young people and women by giving them hope and opportunity to realise their full potential and become productive members of society.

We commit to change children, young people and women’s world for good by breaking the cycle of social inequality and poverty in many areas of need including education, health, social support, employment and advocacy.

We adopt an integrated approach, including social innovation, collaboration and self-directed interventions, to empower, direct and lead their own change processes.
