Our Work

Community-based social enterprise has been positively linked to job creation, responding to community needs and stimulating local economy.  We take a  community-based social entrepreneurship approach in creating employment  by developing demand driven business solutions or services bespoke to each community needs. We understand that different communities experience different socio-economic challenges that present excellent opportunities for business or service creation and employment for young people.

Our staff and community stakeholders work together in a collaborative environment to identify community problems and create businesses or services to address the problems. We continue to support, grow and scale the businesses or services to relief youth unemployment and stimulate local economic growth.

How We Work

Community Problems Diagnose: Conduct participatory community consultative meeting to identify challenges. We collectively validate the challenges and identify potential businesses or services

Business Development:  Identify business products, determine  a price range based on collective local community market assessment. Develop a business plan and source and seek fund from within existing MAMIE investment funds, operational communities, national and international partners and grants.

Employment and Training: Source and provide employment training and capacity building for young people in community of focus or from MAMIE employment pool. Our social businesses are run and managed entirely by young people.

Business Launching: Launch, grow and scale the businesses to benefit communities and young people.
